Position: Data Engineer
Location: Ha Noi/ Ho Chi Minh City
Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with strong experience in cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure. The ideal candidate has solid hands-on experience in data engineering, good English communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines (batch and/or streaming).
- Build and maintain data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT processes on AWS or GCP.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver reliable data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, data integrity, and system performance.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and automation for data workflows.
- Participate in architecture design and continuously improve data platform scalability and security.
- Document technical designs, processes, and best practices.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
- At least 3 years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP data services (e.g., S3/Redshift/Glue/EMR or GCS/BigQuery/Dataflow/Dataproc).
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or Scala.
- Experience with big data frameworks such as Spark (PySpark is a plus).
- Good understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL design patterns.
- Experience working with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) is a plus.
- Good English communication skills (able to work directly with international clients or teams).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
Nice to Have
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
