Overview:

The Assistant Manager – Japanese Restaurant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and service excellence in accordance with hotel standards. The role assists in supervising the service team, maintaining authentic Japanese dining standards, driving revenue opportunities, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations at all times.Responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing the daily operations of the Japanese Restaurant to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Ensure all guests receive professional, personalized, and attentive service in line with luxury hospitality standards.
• Supervise and support the restaurant team during operations while ensuring compliance with hotel policies and service procedures.
• Maintain high standards of food and beverage service, cleanliness, ambiance, and restaurant presentation.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and handle guest feedback or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate closely with the Kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery and product quality.
• Implementation of seasonal promotions, special menus, and Japanese cultural dining experiences.
• Maintain knowledge of Japanese cuisine, beverages, sake, wines, and restaurant products.
• Monitoring operating supplies, inventory control, and cost management.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, HACCP, health, and safety standards.
• Assist in manpower planning, scheduling, daily briefings, and operational reporting.
• Train, coach, and motivate team members to improve service performance and product knowledge.
• Ensure all employees maintain proper grooming, hygiene, and professional appearance standards.
• Promote teamwork and maintain positive working relationships across all departments.
• Support revenue growth through upselling and guest engagement initiatives.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Hotel Management.

• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations, including supervisory experience in Japanese restaurants, hotels, or upscale dining venues.
• Experience in luxury or 5-star hotel environment preferred.
• Good knowledge of Japanese cuisine, beverages, sake culture, and restaurant operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and guest service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage operations effectively.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Japanese language ability is an advantage.
• Well-groomed, customer-focused, and service-oriented personality.
