Damen Song Cam Shipyard is engineering, outfitting, commissioning and delivering various Damen standard ship types. Basic designs and most components are delivered to DSCS by Damen Shipyards Gorinchem. DSCS will complete the detailed design, and production information, which will be used during the assembly of the vessels.
The commissioning and seas trials department is a part of the Production department of Damen Song Cam Shipyard. This department is responsible for the verification and start-up of ship systems to secure good operation of all installations on board as well as the lay-up activities of delivered ships
The role
Development of AMCS software on board of Damen vessels and ship control systems so that they meet the required expectations.
Key accountabilities
As a Software Engineer Your Tasks Are The Following
Ship AMCS Completion & development
- Developing and testing the software systems on board;
- Creation of graphic screen layout and handling for human interfaces;
- Keep communications & discussions with Workboats Technology team
- Responsible for commissioning of the automation systems delivered, such as conducting start-up according to procedure, performing required tests, peforming acceptance testing with presence of Customer & approval societies;
- Support & complete the relevant works relating to Commissioning & Trials;
- Support to update some kinds of software on board;
- Support Service activities when required.
To be successful in this role you bring:
- You have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Web development;
- With 2-3 years of relevant work experience;
- Knowledge of one or more of these programming languages;
- Knowledge and interest in automation products are a plus;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Damen Song Cam Shipyard (DSCS) là công ty thiết kế, đóng mới, lắp đặt, vận hành và bàn giao các loại tàu thuộc dòng Damen. Các thiết kế cơ bản và hầu hết các bộ phận đều được Nhà máy đóng tàu Damen Gorinchem giao cho DSCS. DSCS sẽ hoàn thành thiết kế chi tiết, đưa ra tất cả các hướng dẫn sản xuất cần thiết, bổ sung các thành phần còn lại bằng cách tự sản xuất hoặc mua/hợp đồng phụ và cung cấp dịch vụ quản lý dự án. Ứng dụng CNTT có các chức năng cốt lõi sau: Cung cấp hỗ trợ cho người dùng/bộ phận địa phương tại DSCS về các hoạt động như: Phân tích và chuyển đổi dữ liệu, phát triển ứng dụng và các khóa đào tạo CNTT
