VinFast is building a pioneering Vehicle UX team focused on non-infotainment experiences—the sensory, spatial, and functional interactions that define how users perceive and engage with the car. As a Senior UX Designer, you will help shape the vision for phygital experiences, working across hardware and software to create intuitive, elegant, and intelligent solutions for lighting, audio, cockpit and driving experiences, welcome & exit, and rear seat experiences.
This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in system-level thinking, enjoys collaborating with engineering and industrial design, and is passionate about crafting experiences that go beyond the screen.
- Visualize Phygital Experiences: Create clear, compelling visualizations and interaction flows in Figma to communicate user journeys and feature logic across physical and digital touchpoints.
- Define Requirements & Constraints: Translate user needs and system limitations into actionable requirements for interior/product designers and suppliers.
- Supplier & Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to review, guide, and refine design solutions, ensuring alignment with user experience goals and technical feasibility.
- System & Feature Definition: Map complex vehicle functions into intuitive user interactions, considering safety, context, and sensory impact across areas such as lighting, audio, cockpit, welcome & exit, and rear seat experiences.
- UX Specification Development: Document behavioral logic and UX requirements for all relevant features and experiences.
- Work with a Junior BA: Collaborate with a Business Analyst who will support the conversion of concepts into detailed requirements and follow through during development.
- Take Initiative & Drive Collaboration: Be proactive in seeking out information, initiating cross-team discussions, and driving alignment across disciplines.
- Advocate for Design Directions: Navigate ambiguity and confidently propose and advocate for design directions, supporting your recommendations with user insights and best practices.
- User Advocacy: Represent the user throughout the development process, grounding decisions in behavioral insights and real-world use cases.
- 5+ years of experience in UX design, interaction design, or related fields.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating system-level design thinking and user-centered problem solving.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in hardware/software environments.
- Familiarity with human factors, ergonomics, and sensory design principles.
- Proficiency in Figma for visualization and interaction design.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and confidently navigate ambiguity.
