We are looking for a QA Engineer (Automation) to join our expert team in Ho Chi Minh City. This position starts with a focus on practical testing and quickly expands into a broader QA role, especially for candidates with product and development experience.
YOUR EXCITING TASKS
- Perform E2E tests via the UI, simulating various user actions to ensure comprehensive functionality and stability
- Test individual front-end components, ensuring they behave as expected within the overall UI
- Develop and maintain automated UI tests using Playwright, ensuring the tests stay effective and aligned with the evolving platform
- Work closely with developers to integrate test coverage into the development cycle and ensure defects are tracked and resolved efficiently
- Log and track defects using tools like Jira, analyzing root causes and ensuring quick resolutions
- Maintain and update test documentation and test data sets to ensure consistency and repeatability
- Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, such as optimizing test scripts and suggesting new tools for better testing efficiency
- At least 2 years of experience in software testing
- Hands-on experience with React (for understanding UI behavior and components in the context of testing)
- Strong expertise in Playwright for UI test automation
- Solid experience in front-end testing and validating that UI components work as expected
- Knowledge of UI testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress) and best practices for automation
- Experience with manual testing of the UI for real-world usability and user experience validation
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools like Jira
- You understand and know how to prioritize your tasks with a problem-solving mindset
- You don't take things personally and are comfortable with ambiguity and rapid changes common in early-stage product development
- You don't wait for others to tell you what you need to do but proactively reach out to people, communicate, ask for help, and get things done
- You feel comfortable communicating in the English language
- Experience transitioning from development to QA
- Experience with eCommerce/ERP platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, JTL, etc.)
- Have a development background is a plus
