MAIN SCOPE AND PURPOSE:
Perform regular cleaning activities to ensure high standards of personal and workplace hygiene. Also, performing daily account reconciliations and aligning what is sold with the money in the till.
Ensure that food and beverages are noted efficiently, prepared timely and served with high standard quality. Making guests feel welcome and being proactive in assisting and reaching out to them. Offer customer care and assure that they are receiving the best customer experience and take corrective actions when necessary.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Items for drink preparation
Accurately note food and beverage orders using the provided order slips, relaying them to the kitchen and/or bar and entering them into the POS
Condiments
Accurately prepare, collect, and control bills and customer payments
Performing regular control and maintenance of Mise- en- place for smooth operation
Must attend all scheduled training and development sessions
Ability to deal with and correctly respond to customer complaints
Handing over shift in a clean, completed, and organized manner
Welcoming guests and presenting them with a menu in a friendly and timely manner
Delivering the ordered items in a timely manner
Maintain personal hygiene and grooming standards
Follow and apply procedures, lessons, and information learned during training
Perform regular cleaning duties
Collect reviews and likes for Facebook and TripAdvisor
Checking with customers if they have finished their meal and clean / remove dishes
Front and back of house
Table set up
Assisting guests with recommendations, taking into consideration their preferences and our most profitable items
Maintain consistent and excellent standard of cleanliness in all aspects of the restaurant
Cutlery and napkins
Informing guests about special items and menu changes / availability
Consistent cleaning and polishing of glasses and teapots
Setting up the table with the correct cutlery and condiments pertaining the guests order
Be informed about the menu items and their ingredients and preparation times
Maintain and replenish stock levels by placing timely orders
Consistent quality in preparation of drinks
Checking with customers to make sure they are enjoying their meal and taking appropriate action to correct any problems
Yêu cầu công việc
Skilled in handling situations, under high pressure.
Ability to communicate in English
Agility, honesty, effective communication skills, willingness to work in shifts, overtime, public holidays.
Experience in an equivalent position in a restaurant/bar in a hotel/hostel/resort environment is an advance.
