Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for the Softlines business.
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities through customer visits, networking, exhibitions, referrals, cold calling, LinkedIn prospecting, and market research.
- Develop business with manufacturers, exporters, brands, retailers, buying offices, sourcing companies, and supply chain partners.
- Build strong, long-term customer relationships while expanding existing accounts through cross-selling and up-selling.
- Promote TÜV Rheinland's portfolio of Testing, Inspection, Certification, Auditing, Training, Sustainability, and Supply Chain solutions.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical and commercial solutions with support from our technical experts.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, including opportunity management, quotations, negotiations, customer follow-up, and order conversion.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, customer requirements, and competitor activities to identify new growth opportunities.
- Work closely with laboratories, customer service, technical experts, and international colleagues to deliver excellent customer experiences.
- Represent TÜV Rheinland at exhibitions, seminars, customer events, and other business development activities.

Work Experience
Must-have:
- Minimum 2 years of B2B sales or business development experience.
- Experience in the Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) industry or related sectors such as textiles, apparel, footwear, consumer products, manufacturing, sourcing, or retail is preferred.
- Proven success in acquiring new customers and growing business.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Customer-focused, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong hunter mindset.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits and business development activities.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in Softlines products, testing, certification, compliance, or sustainability services.
- Existing network with manufacturers, brands, retailers, importers, or testing/certification stakeholders.
- Chinese language skills are a strong advantage.
- Experience working with international customers or multinational companies.
- Existing customer network or knowledge of industry compliance and sustainability programs such as RSL, ZDHC, PFAS, ESG, or Supply Chain Compliance is an advantage.
Ideal Candidate
- The ideal candidate is a hunter-type B2B Sales / Business Development professional who is confident in approaching new customers, developing relationships with decision-makers, and converting leads into business opportunities.
- Candidates from TIC companies, testing laboratories, certification bodies, inspection companies, consumer product compliance companies, or B2B technical service providers are highly preferred.
- Candidates with experience in Softlines products, textiles, apparel, footwear, leather goods, consumer products, manufacturing, retail, sourcing, or supply chain, are also encouraged to apply.
