The Specialty Cameras Engineering team is responsible for developing cameras for special applications, such as ALPR (Automatic License Plate Recognition) cameras for traffic management and surveillance. The products are aimed at public and commercial safety. The team is responsible for the development of the firmware, taking care of the entire development life cycle, from development to testing and maintenance of the systems we build.
Job Description
As a Firmware developer in Vietnam, you will join a scrum team working on the firmware that powers the ALPR and surveillance cameras we develop. Working in close collaboration with other departments, engineers in this team excel at developing applications and drivers under Linux, and have a variety of backgrounds and specializations. The team uses modern C++ to develop highly reusable code, and utilize state- of-the-art systems and tools throughout the development life cycle.
- Design and implement sophisticated scalable multi-threaded Object Oriented Software in C++ for solving challenging problems involving high speed data processing and networking
- Design advanced software modules that follow modern C++ design patterns
- Deploy AI models on various platforms, such as NVIDIA and Ambarella.
- Apply C programming skills for Linux device driver development and debugging
- Apply problem solving skills and experience to identify and improve low-level system performance issues
- Create design documents on software architecture and algorithms
- Collaborate with Hardware designers on board bring-up and debug
- Review code of peers for adherence to coding standards and design guidelines
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance team on identifying test cases for new features and areas for regression tests
- Follow the established development process for all design and implementation tasks
- Provides mentorship and coaching to junior developers
- Graduated from a university specializing in Information Technology, with 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in C/C++ and Linux application development
- Proficient in C/C++ programming languages
- Experience or knowledge in developing applications for edge devices and Linux-based systems
- Familiar with image and video processing libraries such as OpenCV, FFmpeg, and GStreamer
- Experience or knowledge in deploying neural network models on hardware platforms such as NVIDIA or Ambarella chips
- Good listening and speaking skills in English
- Detail-oriented, hardworking, and capable of working under high pressure

Bắc Kạn là tỉnh miền núi thuộc vùng Đông Bắc Việt Nam, nổi tiếng với cảnh quan thiên nhiên hùng vĩ và nhiều di tích lịch sử, như hồ Ba Bể. Kinh tế Bắc Kạn chủ yếu dựa vào nông – lâm nghiệp, chế biến nông sản, và du lịch sinh thái.

Tuy nhiên, cơ hội việc làm chất lượng cao còn hạn chế do ít khu công nghiệp và doanh nghiệp lớn. Bắc Kạn phù hợp cho người muốn làm việc ổn định, gắn bó lâu dài tại địa phương hoặc trong lĩnh vực nông – lâm nghiệp và du lịch.
