JOB SUMMARY:

The role will lead the company’s accounting and finance operations, maintaining effective financial controls and supporting management in financial planning, cash flow optimization, and performance evaluation.

KPIs:

Accounting

• Financial reports are accurate and submitted on time.
• No major tax or accounting compliance issues.

Finance

• Maintain stable and well-managed cash flow.
• Keep receivables and payables under control.
• Provide timely and meaningful financial analysis to support management decision-making.

Business

• Support improvements in gross margin.
• Ensure effective cost control and identify opportunities for cost optimization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (70% ACCOUNTING - 30% FINANCE)

1. Accounting & Compliance

• Organize and manage the accounting system in accordance with VAS.

• Prepare and review periodic financial statements.

• Manage and file tax returns, including VAT, CIT, and PIT.

• Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities.

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

2. Cash Flow & Working Capital

• Monitor and manage daily cash flow.

• Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts.

• Manage and control:

  • Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Accounts Payable (AP)

• Coordinate with Sales and Operations to:

  • Ensure timely collection of receivables.

  • Optimize working capital turnover.

3. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Participate in the preparation of:

  • Annual budgets.

  • Periodic forecasts (quarterly / rolling forecasts).

• Analyze:

  • Revenue, costs, and profitability by customer/product.

  • Variances between Actual vs. Budget.

• Monitor gross margins by shipment/order and customer.

• Provide financial analysis and reports to support Management decision-making.

4. Business Support & Decision Support

• Collaborate with the Sales team to:

  • Review costs and pricing before finalizing deals.

  • Evaluate the profitability of individual orders.

• Support Management in:

  • Analyzing business performance.

  • Providing financial data and insights for decision-making.

• Identify and flag financial risks, including:

  • Cost fluctuations.

  • High-risk or overdue receivables

5. Banking & Financing

• Liaise with banks regarding:

  • International payments (L/C, T/T, CAD).

  • Loan applications and credit facilities.

• Monitor financing costs, including:

  • Interest expenses.

  • Bank fees and charges.

• Recommend appropriate financing and capital utilization strategies.

6. Financial Risk Management

• Monitor foreign exchange (FX) exposure.

• Monitor commodity price risks.

• Assess logistics risks, including delays and cost increases.

• Recommend:

  • Hedging strategies, where appropriate.

  • Contract terms that help mitigate financial risks.

7. Financial Strategy Support

• Work closely with Management on:

  • Medium-term financial planning.

  • Forecasting capital requirements for business operations.

• Recommend:

  • Cash flow optimization strategies.

  • Measures to improve capital efficiency.

• Conduct basic financial scenario analysis, including:

  • Revenue growth scenarios.

  • Cost and foreign exchange fluctuation scenarios.

8. Team Management

• Manage and oversee the accounting team.

• Review accounting data and financial reports.

• Train and develop team members’ capabilities.

• Establish and improve accounting procedures and internal controls.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:

• 7–10 years of experience in accounting and finance.
• At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in:
  • Preparing financial statements.
  • Cash flow management.
  • Basic financial planning and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Preferred:
  • Experience in trading and/or import-export businesses.
  • Experience working with banks and handling international payments.
• Strong knowledge of VAS and tax regulations.
• Strong ability to:
  • Analyze financial data and identify key business insights.
  • Understand business operations and demonstrate a strong business mindset.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments, including Sales, Operations, and Logistics.
  • Make sound decisions and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills required.
• Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
