Assist Banqueting Managers and Event Manager as and when required;
Coordinates and communicates verbally and in writing with customer (internal and external) regarding event details;
Attend the Banqueting Monthly meetings and weekly BEO meetings;
Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels;
Stays available to solve problems and/or suggest alternatives to previous arrangements;
Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints;
Follows up with customer post- event;
Ensures billing accuracy and conducts bill reviews with the clients prior to processing the final bill.
At all times to represent the hotel in accordance with company standards of dress, grooming and hygiene;
Ensure that all correspondence is securely filed and all files are kept up to date;
Empowers associates to provide excellent customer service;
Makes presence known to customer at all times during this process;
Complete your monthly forecast on the Department sheet;
Leads pre- event and post- event meetings for assigned groups;
Facilitates various meetings as necessary (Banquet Event Order meeting, block review, etc);
Be responsible for the yield management of your meeting rooms in the diary;
Compile and type all you Banquet Event Orders, and be responsible for the issuing of any “late” banquet orders and amendments. Then distribute the BEOs with an accompanying letter;
Check all your meeting rooms before the start of any functions to ensure that they are set up to the specifications on the Banquet Event Orders;
Compile on a monthly basis a Booking Pace report;
Acts as liaison between field sales person and customer throughout the event process (pre- event, event, post- event);
Ensure good communication with other departments;
Offer and conduct show rounds of the hotel as and when necessary;

Experience in F&B is a plus
