BASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB:

Provide technical supports to plating and wet chemical related process problems in Front End, Assembly, System manufacturing areas. Collaborate with other departments to develop new tools, fixtures, equipment, chemicals, materials for process and product developments, and solving production technical issues. Ensure machines operate smoothly, and collect, analyze data to improve processes further. Work with cross department engineers and staffs to implement process problem solving and improvement, and qualification projects to meet departmental objectives towards cost saving and quality improvement.

1) Manufacturing process control, improvement, and development

- Manage QRB projects for process and equipment changes to ensure timely Release to Production (RTP).

- Support Front End, Assembly, and System teams in process improvement, product development, and Engineering Change Order (ECO) implementation.

- Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) to qualify new parts and onboard new suppliers.

- Identify and drive process improvement opportunities to reduce costs, eliminate risks, and improve manufacturing efficiency.

- Review and update production processes, train operators on procedure changes, and conduct technical studies to support continuous improvement.

2) Manufacturing Process support and Quality control

- Ensure First Article Inspection (FAI) is completed for new parts before mass production and maintain process control.

- Monitor process compliance with ISO requirements and support customer and internal audit activities.

- Utilize QC tools and SPC data to analyze defects, resolve process issues, and drive continuous improvement.

- Manage control limits, monitor chemical and material shelf life, and perform testing when required.

- Support corrective actions (CAR), Failure Analysis (FA), and proactively resolve quality and process-related issues.

3) Machine, equipment setup and maintenance

- Set up and modify manufacturing, measurement, and testing equipment programs to support production requirements.

- Troubleshoot equipment issues by working closely with suppliers and equipment manufacturers.

- Perform internal verification and calibration of equipment to ensure accuracy and reliable operation.

Educational Background: Bachelor’s in one of following specialization:

• Chemical Engineering

• Materials Science/Engineering,

Experience: At least 2 years applicable experience in manufacturing setting relating to trouble shooting of plating or wet chemical processing.

Special abilities:

- Knowledge of SPC, shop floor control, technical drawings, fixtures, and tooling.

- Experience in process improvement, troubleshooting, and equipment management.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and statistical analysis.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across functions.

- Able to work independently, follow general instructions, and deliver tasks in a timely manner.
