Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hanoi for a Global Finance and Accounting. The role involves managing financial operations, preparing financial statements, analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The specialist will also engage in communication and reporting with internal departments and stakeholders to support the financial health and operational goals of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Accounting & Tax Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement systems for accounting financial transactions by establishing and maintaining a chart of accounts.

• Define and enforce bookkeeping policies and procedures for international entities (EU/UK/US).

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by studying requirements, filing global tax reports in a timely manner, and advising senior management on necessary actions.

• Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.

• Reconcile subsidiary accounts by verifying and balancing entries.

• Oversee the general ledger by consolidating subsidiary account summaries.

• Review and organize supporting documents while maintaining historical records through proper filing.

• Prepare and review the accuracy of financial reports, ensuring alignment with company standards.

• Monitor and review periodic accounts, addressing accounting-related issues for other offices as needed.

• Assist the Financial Controller with any additional tasks or projects.

Financial Analysis Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed financial analysis, reviewing variances between actual and budgeted results, providing insights, and offering recommendations to senior management.

• Deliver weekly and monthly financial updates to the Board of Directors.

• Support special projects and initiatives as directed by senior management.

Requirements

Skills & Competencies:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• + 3 years of experience in Accounting and Finance

• Experience with bookkeeping for international companies, particularly those in the UK/US, is highly preferred.

• Knowledge of IFRS, UK/EU tax filing procedures, and regulations is a significant advantage.

• Strong research skills, with the ability to leverage AI tools for enhanced efficiency and critical thinking, is a plus.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Upper-intermediate proficiency in written and spoken English.
