Job Summary

The Chief Accountant is responsible for managing the overall accounting operations of Jones & Vining Vietnam, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting in accordance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards and company policies.

This position also supports management in financial control, budgeting, statutory compliance, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

· Prepare statutory reports in compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards and other applicable legal requirements.

· Lead month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure proper reconciliation of all accounts.

· Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and other relevant government agencies, where required.

· Review and improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial processes to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.

· Monitor cash flow, working capital, and payment schedules to support business operations.

· Support cost control, and financial analysis for management decision-making.

· Maintain proper accounting records and ensure document retention in line with legal and company requirements.

· Support ERP/SAP-related accounting processes and ensure proper use of financial systems.

· Prepare accounting analyses, management reports, and presentation materials to support business reviews and decision-making.

· Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications and Requirements

· Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.

· Valid Chief Accountant Certificate as required by Vietnamese law.

· Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or Chief Accountant role.

· Strong knowledge of Vietnamese accounting standards and statutory compliance.

· Experience in a manufacturing or FDI company environment is preferred.

· Good understanding of costing, inventory accounting, and internal control.

· Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; SAP experience is an advantage.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.

· Ability to prepare effective financial presentations and communicate insights clearly to management.
