* About the Role
We're looking for a talented Backend Developer to join our core product team. You'll work with a fast-moving group of engineers, designers, and business analysts to build scalable backend systems that power our product. Your focus will be backend architecture, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
* What You'll Do
- Service Development (Python & TypeScript)
- Build and maintain APIs and event-driven services with FastAPI / Encore and [protected info]
- Data Engineering
- Model and optimize PostgreSQL databases, implement Row-Level Security, and enforce multi-tenant isolation.
- Cloud & Infrastructure
- Design AWS architectures (ECS Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, Cognito, etc.).
- Define infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi.
- CI/CD & Dev Experience
- Automate build, test, and deployment pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Champion zero-downtime blue-green or canary releases.
- Collaboration & Quality
- Participate in design reviews, write clear documentation, and mentor teammates.

- Languages: Python 3.12+, TypeScript 5+
- Frameworks: FastAPI, Encore, [protected info]
- Databases: PostgreSQL 15 (RLS, partitioning), Redis
- Cloud: AWS (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, SQS/SNS, RDS)
- IaC: AWS CDK, Terraform, Pulumi
- CI/CD: GitHub, GitHub Actions
- Observability: OpenTelemetry, Grafana, CloudWatch, Sentry- 3+ years building production backends with both Python and TypeScript/[protected info]
- Hands-on experience delivering services in FastAPI or Encore.
- Expertise with PostgreSQL, RLS, and multi-tenant designs.
- Proven ownership of AWS infrastructure via CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi.
- Strong GitHub-based CI/CD skills.
