Coworkers so so (some are toxic, fawning)
Lovely students
Dedicated teachers (some are not)
● Unclear policies (bonus, commission) - not systematic, but based on boss's mood
● Excessive Overtime - if you want a work-life balance, just run away. You might be forced to work in your day-off with no compensatory leave (ofc you can refuse, but the manager may complain about that in the meetings)
● The executive have no exp in pedagogy, they're just good at sales (maybe I study pedagogy, so I would prefer a more educational enviroment for me to work in, a place where I can gain more helpful knowledge from my boss, not a place where I have to waste time listening to a bunch of life philosophies (literally cliché) in every training session)
● Endless meaningless training session every Tuesday - they required you to give a presentation why you didn't close a sale successfully every week - I think this is not useful at all.
● The manipulative way of sales mainly focuses on intimidating the parents and the students, pressing them to pay for the whole learning roadmap (approx 2-3.5 years). They emphasized that the students would fail the high school, college entrance tests or become unemployed. They chose negativity and hopelessness to address the vulnerable students and gullible parents
Rather focus on improving the quality of your product and talk less do more than spend too much time praising your product and look down on your employees (spending time flexing your personal stories the whole time in every training session made me exhausted, you're acting like some useless self-help books out there)
