• Develop and maintain a robust documented accounting framework and overall finance processes that complement and support a growing, developing business model
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, together with analysis of trends and rolling monthly re-forecasts in consultation with the FP&A manager
• Lead monthly P&L review meetings with the department managers and address any questions
• Provide recommendations to management on the business opportunities and the financial implications of business activities and projects
• Provide detailed cost analysis of the organisation's services and ensure continued focus and input into the process and business improvement strategies
• Active management of overheads whilst seeking out areas for efficiencies for savings
• Ensure finance-related processes and policies are documented and communicated to other areas of the business and reviewed regularly
• Oversee and manage the general bookkeeping responsibilities, including accounts payable and receivable activities ensuring active cashflow management whilst meeting contractual obligations with external vendors
• Oversee the preparation of payroll, preparation of PAYG summaries, superannuation liabilities, payroll tax and workers' compensation
• Oversee the accurate and timely reconciliation of the Company's bank accounts and corporate credit cards and maintain daily cash flow forecasts and analysis
• Ensure accurate maintenance of general ledger accounts
• Preparation and lodgement of monthly BAS and liaise with the ATO on any taxation matters
• Assist in the active management of the Company's income tax positions
• Ensure compliance with statutory, government policy and ethical standards
• Take responsibility for the overall effective management of the Finance team
• Define and implement KPIs for the Finance team in alignment with the Finance Strategy and Business Plans
• Actively contribute to M&A process where appropriate
• Assist the Chief Financial Officer for quarterly Board papers preparation as required
• Proficient & advanced knowledge of the Company's accounting software and any other associated system
