Room Controller – Job Description

• Manage and respond to guest requests through internal communication systems in a timely and professional manner.
• Control room inventory and allocate guestrooms based on guest preferences, VIP status, and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, and Engineering to ensure room readiness for arrivals.
• Handle room assignments, pre-registration, and group arrival arrangements to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue.
• Support Front Office operations, including check-in/check-out assistance, guest inquiries, and complaint resolution when required.
• Perform administrative duties and maintain accurate room status and inventory records in hotel systems.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong knowledge of hotel PMS systems, preferably Opera and Marsha.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a guest-centric mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional hotel departments.
• Previous experience in Rooms Division, Front Office, or Room Control is preferred.
