A. Purpose of Job

The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing end-to-end finance and accounting operations,

ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.

This role also leads financial planning, reporting, and process improvements to support business growth and operational efficiency.

B. Key Responsibilities

I. Financial & Accounting Management

• Supervise and manage finance and accounting staff.

• Develop and maintain a well-structured accounting system in compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and relevant regulations.

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AR/AP, fixed assets, inventory, and cost accounting.

• Ensure accurate and timely financial consolidation and reporting.

II. Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead monthly forecasting and Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations.

• Compare actual vs forecast and propose corrective actions.

III. Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Prepare and monitor cash flow and fund flow planning.

• Manage treasury functions, banking relationships, and credit control.

IV. Closing & Reporting

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes.

• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are accurate.

• Prepare financial reports and explain variances.

V. Compliance & Taxation

• Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.

• Oversee preparation and submission of all tax filings (VAT, CIT, PIT, etc.).

• Manage financial, tax, and investment reporting to government authorities.

• Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

• Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness.

VI. Process Improvement & Internal Control

• Propose to improve accounting procedures and internal controls.

• Ensure financial processes are efficient and compliant.

VII. Industry-Specific Responsibilities

• Monitor revenue and expenses streams in hospitality operations (room, F&B, services).

• Understand cost structures in construction and interior projects.

I. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.

II. Experience

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in accounting/finance.

• At least 2–3 years in a Chief Accountant or similar role.

• Experience in the hospitality industry is highly preferred.

• Experience in construction/interior is a plus.

III. Skills

• Strong knowledge of Vietnamese tax and accounting regulations.

• Experience with PMS systems (Opera, Smile, Cloudbeds, etc.) is a plus.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.

• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
