JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR BUYER (NON-TRADE)

Reporting to: Non-Trade Procurement Manager

I. JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Non-Trade Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:

(a) Executing end-to-end non-trade procurement operations — from purchase requisitions through to delivery — in compliance with established policies and SOPs.

(b) Coordinating daily with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, competitive pricing, and SLA adherence.

(c) Acting as a strategic Procurement Co-pilot to business operations by engaging early in project planning, negotiating favorable terms, establishing Master Contracts for recurring volume, and driving measurable cost savings based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Stakeholder Management & Internal Alignment

• Act as a business partner to internal teams (Commercial, HR, Tech, Marketing, etc.), ensuring early engagement and alignment on procurement needs.
• Support stakeholders in defining clear Scope of Work (SOW) to enable efficient sourcing and competitive bidding.

Managing Operational Procurement Activities

• Execute end-to-end procurement processes (PR → RFQ → quotation analysis → negotiation → PO issuance → delivery follow-up).
• Manage multiple procurement requests simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and SLA adherence.
• Conduct supplier sourcing, price benchmarking, and negotiation to optimize cost, speed, and quality.
• Coordinate closely with vendors and internal teams to resolve operational issues and ensure business continuity.

Supplier Management

• Maintain day-to-day supplier relationships, ensuring responsiveness, service quality, and issue resolution.
• Track supplier performance against KPIs (delivery, pricing, quality) and drive improvements where needed.

Analysis, Research, and Continuous Improvement

• Analyze quotations using Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Monitor procurement spend, cost-saving initiatives, and operational KPIs.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency, reduce turnaround time, and streamline workflows.

Education Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field.

Experience & Skills:

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in procurement operations.
• Basic negotiation, vendor management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Experience in fast-paced environments (E-commerce, FMCG, MNCs) is preferred.
• Proficient in ERP systems and data handling
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to work with cost data and reporting.
• Good presentation skills to communicate insights, sourcing decisions, and procurement performance.
• Basic knowledge of automation tools, data analysis, or coding (e.g., Excel VBA, Python, Power BI, AI tools) is a strong advantage.
