Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the design and technical construction of bridge and infrastructure projects.
• Participate in the implementation of technical drawings for bridge projects using software such as BIM or similar programs.
• Conduct calculations and structural analysis of bridge structures to ensure durability, safety, and load-bearing capacity.
• Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, and final bid packages for bridges and other transportation projects.
• Select appropriate construction materials and verify the feasibility of design solutions.
• Assist colleagues in resolving technical issues during bridge construction and ensure compliance with technical regulations.
• Ensure quality and adherence to design and construction processes for projects.
• Monitor project progress and quality related to bridges and infrastructure.
• May be asked to participate in non-design engineering activities such as construction inspection and materials testing, surveying, and field data collection.
• Effectively collaborate with others and lead transportation and bridge teams in all aspects of bridge analysis and design, from conceptual planning and preliminary design to final design and construction
• Identify creative and innovative engineering solutions based on client, project, and site constraints.
• Responsible for the accuracy of engineering design, reports, load ratings, and plans, quality presentation, thoroughness and follow-through, and efficient conformance to budgets, schedules, and company standards.
• Communicate effectively with project team members, including other engineers, architects, and construction personnel. Collaborate effectively in a team environment to achieve project goals.
• Other tasks assigned by Managers
