General Description

• This a key position that is responsible for development business and leading the sale activities to focus on the direct customers in Vietnam and other countries, to fulfill the sales target of company. This role will plan and implement sales strategies that will gain business and effectively manage the business of clients. Besides, this position will be able to handle the whole process from sales to after-sale such as contract signing, order tracking, emergency problems solving, payment collection and other paperwork etc..

Specific Accountabilities are included but not limited

• Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards, industry and economic trends, and also sales and margin goals.
• Develop domestic and international air and sea freight customers (peer customers and direct customers) by utilizing the company's platform.
• Provide customers with professional international air freight, sea freight, trailer, customs clearance and other logistics services consulting and logistics distribution solutions.
• Act as a liaison between the customers and operations staff.
• Manage sourcing of customers. Build and maintain relationships with customers and assist and direct team members in sourcing and growing customer base.
• Maintenance of current customers: Including analysis of current lanes to assure we are competitive and also providing excellent service. Also, soliciting for other business from customers.
• Monthly financial analysis: including determining overall success of current customer profiles. Be able to deal with the work process independently, including contract signing, order tracking, emergency situation handling, payment collection and urging, etc.
• Determine current rates in the market place offered by competitors.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data in system.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and timely.
• Developing goals for specialized sales (LTL, Intermodal, etc.).
• Development of sales leaders including succession planning.
• Act as a player and a coach – bring on new business, in addition to coaching the sales representatives.
• Partner and build relationships with network.
• Regularly report the information of target customers to the superior. Under the guidance and supervision of the superior supervisor, follow up the target customers with goals, plans and methods, and complete the sales target
• Other tasks and duty as per the assignment of GM.

Skills Required

• Knowledge of airfreight, sea freight, logistics…
• Sales experience with success in the cold-calling environment.
• Proven record of growing business and starting new accounts.
• Ability to make quick, smart business decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively train others, preferably with experience in doing so.
• Outstanding organizational skills, excellent time management skills, ability to multitask.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• Strong sense of responsibility, team work and service awareness.
• Good at communication and negotiation, be flexible and quick response.
• Optimistic and able to work under pressure, maintain high enthusiasm for work and have the ability to develop business independently.

Experience and Qualifications

• At least 5-6 years of experience in working in a logistics/freight forwarding environment.
• Developing solutions for major customers.
• Experienced in tools such as MS Excel/PPT/SharePoint etc.
• Customer/ BD/ Operations Engagement.
• Written and spoken English, Mandarin is plus.
