The Production Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient production operations to meet delivery schedules while maintaining product quality, food safety, workplace safety, and cost efficiency. The role requires a dynamic, adaptable, and results-oriented individual with strong technical knowledge, decision-making, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities. The incumbent must comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and company requirements related to food safety, quality, environmental protection, energy management, and occupational safety. In addition, the position requires effective cross-functional collaboration, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to manage, train, coach, and supervise production personnel to drive continuous improvement.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan, direct, coordinate, and control production activities to achieve targets for output, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency while meeting customer requirements.
• Regularly monitor shop floor operations, supervise production staff, verify work activities, and ensure compliance with established procedures and work instructions.
• Train and coach employees on SOPs, WIs, GMP, food safety, foreign object prevention, energy and water conservation, and the safe operation of production equipment.
• Prepare and manage the departmental budget, monitor expenses, and control production costs.
• Develop and execute production schedules in coordination with Sales Support and Purchasing to optimize resource utilization, minimize waste, and ensure timely delivery.
• Independently plan production for both factories, provide planning backup when required, and train team members on production planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance, QA, QC, Warehouse, InC, Product Construction, Sales Support, Sourcing, Finance, HR, and Administration to support production operations and continuous improvement.
• Plan and coordinate production trials with InC, participate in trial activities, oversee finished and semi-finished products, and report trial results and recommendations.
• Evaluate machine performance, production methods, procedures, and work instructions, and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Prepare, review, and maintain production documentation, including SOPs and WIs; analyze SCADA data and maintain confidentiality of operational information.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc production reports as required by management.
• Lead problem-solving activities through root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and traceability while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies on labor, quality, food safety, occupational health and safety, environmental management, GMP, GHP, and 5S.
• Implement and maintain production systems in accordance with HACCP, ISO 22000, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 requirements.
• Establish, monitor, and review departmental KPIs to ensure alignment with company objectives, customer requirements, and continuous performance improvement.

· Diploma/ Bachelor in food science / processing / technology / mechanical engineering with working experience in Food processing industry.

· Have knowledge and experience in ISO 9001, HACCP and ISO 22000.
