The Home Platform team is responsible for building and scaling the systems behind one of the most frequently used experiences on Zalopay. Our mission is to provide a fast, reliable, and extensible platform that enables users to conveniently discover and access relevant products and services.
Our platform brings together data and capabilities from multiple systems to deliver consistent, data- driven experiences at scale. We build both backend services and user- facing components, with a strong focus on performance, availability, extensibility, and operational excellence.
Depending on your experience, you will own features end to end or lead the design and delivery of larger technical solutions within the Home Platform.
We are looking for a Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer (Golang/React) who enjoys solving backend and distributed- system challenges while being comfortable contributing to frontend development. This is a backend- focused fullstack role, with approximately 70% Backend and 30% Frontend responsibilities.
Responsibilities
You will:

Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Mobile, QA, Data, and other Engineering teams to deliver features end to end.
Build event- driven and near- real- time data- processing workflows.
Optimize frontend performance and user experience across mobile environments.
Develop user- facing web components using React and TypeScript.
Develop scalable and maintainable APIs using Golang, HTTP, and gRPC.
Design data models, caching strategies, and storage solutions for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Implement API integration, state management, loading and error handling, and event tracking on the frontend.
Design, build, and maintain high- performance backend services that support core user experiences on Zalopay.
Senior candidates are expected to lead solution design, drive technical improvements, and mentor other engineers.
Write clean, maintainable, and well- tested code, including unit and integration tests.
Conduct code reviews and contribute to technical standards and engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot production issues and drive technical problems through resolution.
Integrate with multiple internal platforms and services to deliver end- to- end product capabilities.
Improve system performance, observability, monitoring, and production traceability.
Develop and maintain scheduled or batch- processing jobs where appropriate.
Ensure reliability across distributed workflows through appropriate handling of concurrency, idempotency, timeouts, retries, and failures.

You may be a good fit for this role if you:

Have experience with Kafka or another message queue/event- streaming platform.
Have hands- on experience with Redis or similar caching technologies.
Understand distributed- system concepts such as idempotency, concurrency control, eventual consistency, retry strategies, and failure handling.
Have strong knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
Have experience writing unit, integration, automation, or end- to- end tests.
Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrate strong problem- solving skills, end- to- end ownership, and the ability to work effectively in a fast- paced environment.
Have solid experience in backend system design, including API design, data modeling, service decomposition, and microservices.
Have hands- on experience with React and TypeScript and are comfortable contributing to frontend development.
Have at least 4 years of professional software development experience; senior- level candidates should demonstrate strong ownership of production systems and technical design.
Have experience building, operating, and troubleshooting production systems.
Have strong proficiency in Golang, including practical knowledge of concurrency and performance optimization.

Nice to have:

Experience with data- intensive or near- real- time processing systems.
Experience optimizing React applications for mobile or embedded web environments.
Experience in FinTech, payments, e- commerce, or other large- scale digital platforms.
Experience with observability, performance monitoring, and production incident investigation.
Familiarity with feature flags, A/B testing, and controlled rollout strategies.
Experience running services in Kubernetes.
Ability to work closely with non- technical stakeholders and translate product requirements into reliable technical solutions.
Experience building high- traffic, consumer- facing products.
