Our General Accountant plays a pivotal role in overseeing finance and accounting operations for the Vietnam subsidiary. You will work collaboratively with a dynamic team to ensure financial soundness and compliance. Your responsibilities encompass:

Responsibilities:

Accounting & tax:

• Taking charge of the full-set accounting of the Vietnam subsidiary.
• Daily bookkeeping of operational expenses
• Bank reconciliations
• Fixed asset management
• Closing (Monthly/Year-end) and finalizing financial statements
• Tax filing (VAT, CIT, WHT) and reviewing the reports to the tax authorities
• Checking and collecting all output VAT invoices for tax filing purposes
• Developing, revising and maintaining accounting standards and procedures of the Vietnam subsidiary to ensure compliance with generally accepted reporting standards.
• Other tasks assigned by the reporting manager.

Financial & compliance management:

• Preparing financial reports of the Vietnam subsidiary, and supporting consolidated reports for the Singapore Holding company.
• Coordinating with auditors to prepare annual audits.
• Supports local corporate tax compliance, ensuring local tax and investment reports are filed on time to the appropriate authorities.
• Supporting ad-hoc finance-related reports and data preparation as assigned.
• Providing expert accounting and tax related advice to the HQ and the other teams.
• Other tasks assigned by the reporting manager.

Expected Engagement:

• Communicate with the Finance Team manager and members located overseas on a daily basis
• Coordinating with the local accounting & tax agency, and external auditor.
• Liaising with banks, tax and revenue authorities as necessary.
• Monitor financial transactions, identifying discrepancies and recommending necessary actions in a proactive manner
• Ensuring accuracy, accountability, and compliance with the group’s policies and requirements.

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles, preferably for multinational companies, and/or in the tech/e-commerce industry.
• Strong knowledge in VAS & IFRS, and taxation in Vietnam.
• Excellent command of English (Spoken and written).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively work in a multi-national team.
• Advanced in Microsoft Excel and Google Spreadsheet.
• Proficiency in using the accounting softwares and ERP tools. Experience of more than one software/tool is preferred.
• Logical thinking and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning new things and problem-solving.
• Possess an adaptable, reliable, and trustworthy personality, capable of navigating dynamic work environments with professionalism and integrity.
• Highly adaptable to a changing and fast-growing environment.
• Fluency or understanding of Korean is a plus.
• Odoo experience is a plus.
